Happy Friday, world! Can’t believe it’s already Friday. Yes, it’s been over a month since I posted last... I know, I know.... but having a baby will set you back tremendously! Haha! Priorities need to stay in place and right now my 10lbs hunk of love, along with my 25 lbs toddler of joy are keeping me preoccupied. And I wouldn’t have it any other way, I’ll tell you.
So, unlike those first few months of Gold & Charm where posting every other day was possible, I’m aiming at just-as-often-as-I-can. And today was one of those days.
Ive been on instagram watching some of my very favorite influencers talk about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, aka the biggest retail sale of the year (okay maybe that’s just my opinion, but still. It’s a big deal.) It looks amazing, but I don’t really dig retail and would prefer to shop exclusively second hand or if I do go for retail I suggest something a bit more “my price” aka it better be a great sale! So instead of posting my picks from the Nordstrom sale, I’m going to share one of my favorite looks from my absolute favorite consignment shops in California, and tell you a bit more about this jewel called, New2You Label Xchange. You can visit their website here.
New2You is seriously one of the sweetest spots in Brentwood, California. Even since living on the road, I try to visit there as often as I can. They make great effort in consigning only modern pieces that would be appropriate for the incoming trends of the season, along with fabulous basics from great brands, such as Loft, and New York and Co. Aeropostale, Forever 21, H&M, American Eagle, and Express are just a few of the fab brands they carry. They have a great selection of shoes (even Air Jordan) along with bags (Kate Spade, Michael Kors, etc.) They also go to Market several times a year and purchase some of the most lovely boutique-worthy looks. So if you aren’t too hip on previously loved clothes, New2You is still for you. If you live in Brentwood and haven’t stopped in, or if you plan on making a trek to the Bay Area any time soon, this place should be on your list to visit. I have never been disappointed!
If you have clothes to consign, this is also a fantastic choice. They are very specific and particular about the clothes they are willing to pay for, but that’s what makes them something other than a Goodwill. Be sure to bring your clothes in clean and free or stains. They won’t take anything that looks “really used.”
The staff is absolutely wonderful. Never have I come in contact with an employee that was less than accommodating and kind. They do their best to make your experience pleasurable, and they have accomplished that in my opinion.
So the photographs that I’ve shown throughout this post are from one of their Market purchases. This oversized denim vest is from last fall and seriously one of the best pieces in my closet. When I tried it on last fall, I instantly knew this basic was one to have for years to come. The uniqueness of this look, and the versatility made it a major winner for me. It sold out insanely fast, which shows what good taste the owners have. I plan on it being a major player in my wordrobe this fall. And I can’t waiBut I don’t know if they’ll be bringing it back again this autumn. They have an eBay account as well where they sell some of their higher ticketed items. You can check that out here. My felt hat was also a New2You purchase that got plenty of use throughout the colder months.
I hope your weekend is incredible! Thanks for spending a moment of your day with me. Check back in Monday for my baby’s birth story.
Thank you New2You Label Xchange for sponsoring this post.
