What day is it?! Let me hear you say, “HUMP DAYYYY!” Wahoo! Only two more days to the weekend! Yes sirreee. And I am finally getting control of my week, only to lose it again over the weekend. Haha
If y’all remember me mentioning in last weeks post that I had a baby shower Friday, I just want to mention that is went beautifully. So many lovely ladies showering the mother-to-be (well, she already has one, this baby makes two) and celebrating the precious life growing inside of her. We feasted on mountains of delicious goodies ranging from pumpkin muffins, to Trader Joe’s Hot Chocolate Dunkers, chocolate hummus (delish, btw), candy corn and peanuts, chocolate covered espresso beans, apricot/white chocolate cookies, mini tacos, pizzas, and pigs in a blanket... and that wasn’t everything...
Needless to say, we ate well!
And let’s not forget spiced apple cider, and Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate, drunk from each lady’s monogrammed mug! Frank Sinatra and Fred Astaire graced our ears with lovely conversation music while the guests mingled and relaxed on the first really chilly night in our NorCal area of the world. It was a perfect fall evening.
Sunday, we returned to the same location and held our churches annual Thanksgiving Dinner! Which was also absolutely lovely. We were able to reuse some of the baby shower decor which made us (fellow party host and good friend, Sophia and myself) feel quite resourceful and excited.
It was so beautiful to bask in the beauty of grateful hearts, blessed spirits, and full bellies! Although the baby shower was not at all Thanksgiving themed, it was still a beautiful reminder of all we have to be thankful for! Things such as friends, family, flowers, food, and even fertility. Haha!
So today’s post is just a peek into our weekend. Sharing how we made two events individually special and unique while still being able to be resourceful and use each item to it’s fullest.
