Hello Friends. Merry Friday to you. I hope this will be a joyous weekend, filled with fun and family, as I’m hoping mine will. I was a bit under the weather yesterday, so I am hoping to be 100% by the time our family arrives this afternoon.
Its been a while since I’ve posted anything fashion related, and I’ll be honest, I didn’t realize how much I missed it. I really enjoy this aspect of blogging, and I hope maybe you do too.
This autumn ensemble is one of my favorite looks for fall. I used to have practically every shade of colored denim, but I’m over that phase and now I like just the good ol’ blue jean. But when I find something unique like these American Eagle camel colored skinny’s, I can’t resist. They are a great way to add interest or tie an outfit together, without being a show-stealer.
Obviously, with this look, the show stealer is this amazing, floral, wrap blouse. Y’all, this top is even more beautiful in person. It was a steal from Ross, and anything “wrap” is my thing. Wrap dresses, wrap blouses, chicken wraps from Wendy’s (haha, jk) I love wraps. I am especially drawn by the understated colors, that don’t overpower the look, but it’s bold, nonetheless. The flowers are also large so your look is more bold and less busy.
The bold floral design is perfect for fall, as well. The tiny busier floral pattern is a great representation of the budding spring time, but the beautiful strong floral like in this top, is a teminder of the strength it take for blooms to make it to this point. It’s simple and thoughtful, which I believe describes autumn quite well, too.
And lets not not forget these great black slip-on’s. These have been a fabulous trend, going steady since last year, and I can understand why. They are comfortable, classy, and convenient. So easy to slip on a pair of shoes like these and instantly amp up your look. I found these at Walmart for under $20 and they have served me well. They are a Gucci doupe, and I think they look even better than their designer counterpart. And the price is much better too. Haha
Because the top had enough going on I wanted to keep the jewelry neutral with just gold. But this outfit looked great with some fun statement earrings and a simple gold duel chain necklace. I wanted something not too understated but also something that didn’t take all the attention.
I can can hardly believe we are already preparing for fall, but with these crazy hot temps, I can hardly wait for it to be here. So happy weekend, have fun! See you back here next week!
