Ahhhh! The weekend is within sight! Just one more day! I've been given the pleasure of watching one of Sami's friends twice a week for this week and the next, and we've been having so much fun! So I'm having major baby fever, right now. I know that people say child care is great birth-control, but I feel like it's the opposite for me! It's just so amazing to watch a baby grow and develop, and just become more and more incredible. Their little personalities are so fun to watch.
So with the embroidery trend on the rise I thought it would be fun to share this thrifted, embroidered top! I bought this when we were still living in Alabama. I purchased it for $.25! It was an awesome deal, and the deep navy was a total draw. I love navy!
I am pretty excited about this embroidery fad! I know it's extremely popular right now, but I seriously love it! It's got an classic feel to it, as well as being a bit retro. And any of you that have been following this blog for any time at all, know that I love anything vintage! Although this top doesn't look necessarily vintage, the embroidery is classic, and the color combos are great.
I have paired this top top with bright yellow flats before, but I'm currently wearing these faux sueade slip on's ALL THE TIME! The blush tone of the faux sueade goes well with the blush in the embroidery. That's a huge pairing trick that I often use. Instead of sticking with a neutral shoe while wearing lots of colors, I love to pick an accessory color that pulls out a specific color in the outfit.
Tomorrow I am so excited to introduce one of my biggest style inspirations, KD! I've known her for 4 years, and her style is literally INCREDIBLE. She's a former model, and career woman who left New York behind to go to Bible School. Now she is serving foster children, dedicating her life to bless others! I hope you drop in tomorrow to check out her fabulous photos. She'all be sharing three lovely looks that are sure to inspire you as much as she has inspired me!
