Good morning, amazing! How are you? I am really excited to share this first "Testing Tuesday" with you. Since I have begun to prepare for this blog, I have been trying all sorts of new make-up/beauty tips in anticipation of being able to help you disscover some products/DIY tecniques that may be helpful for your beauty regimen.
Today, I bring you L'Oreal Paris Ingallible Total Cover Color Correcting kit. I have always struggled with major under-eye dark circles. No matter how much sleep I get, they remain. I did a facial exam, and I have pretty bad circulation in that part of my face, so I have had to cope and try to find the proper concealer to cover. And after all the years I have worn make-up, I struggled to find a good one. That is, until now.
I have begun to use the color correcting processes in my make-up application and it has definitely made a difference.
For my demonstrations below, the left side of my face is the one that I use the Color Corrector on, and the right is simply my normal make-up and concealer. Disclaimer: I didn't have the best lighting, but the contrast is still noticeable.
As you can see, on the left side the dark circle is more noticeable, as well as the dark spots underneath. So, the first step was to apply the Color Corrector all over the dark circle. I used the peach tone to correct the blues , purples, and grays, shades that normally make up a dark circle.
Left: Color Corrector RIght: Standard concealer and foundation
Now, the application is complete. I didn't need very much, and I just dabbed it on lightly. It is very creamy and the coverage is fantastic. Obviously, in the light it turns out a little brighter, but you definitely can't see the dark circle any more.
I then covered it with some of my heavy duty concealer: Hard Candy's Glamoflauge Concealer
and blended with my foundation. I completed with some finishing powder and viola. It was done!
Left: Color Corrector Right: Standard concealer and foundation
This was the completed look. The left dark circle's color is minimized significantly, and the color is brightened! Overall, it performs better than my standard concealer alone, but operates best (for me) when used as a team along WITH the concealer. In the end, I would definitely use the Color Corrector again. I am impressed with it's ability and it's coverage.
L'Oreal did not sponsor this post and all opinions are my own. I made my purchase at Walmart, and my links go to Walmart's website. They have the most affordable price I found, so I wanted to share with you. I hope if you struggle with dark circles you go and try this out. I am very happy with this product, and I hope you will be too!
Have a great day, lovelies!
